Oversized¿grade 80 hooks¿are similarly made of heat-treated alloy steel and¿provide¿more strength and material in the neck of the hook to reduce cracking due to trapped side pulls.¿The grade 70 XHD 3/8-in. x 20-ft. chain assembly¿with grade 80 clevis hooks¿is¿made to NACM standards per specifications of the Department of Transportation & CCMTA for tie-down use with properly marked links¿and¿aluminum tags with stamped WLL information.
